The court has reduced bail for the fourth time. Back in May it amounted to 107.3 million. UAH, and at the end of the month – 75 million. In September, the court reduced the amount of bail to 55 million UAH, and at the end of September to 45 million UAH.

Meanwhile, an accomplice of the former chairman of the Supreme Court Knyazev, lawyer Oleg Goretsky, was sentenced in the case of accepting a bribe in the amount of $2.7 million.

The High Anti-Corruption Court sentenced him to five years in prison without confiscation of property, but was released from serving the sentence with a probationary period of three years.

Goretsky reached an agreement with the SAP – now he is obliged to cooperate with the prosecution and provide incriminating evidence, as well as transfer UAH 21 million to a special account in the United 24 Foundation.

On October 13, NAPC stated that Knyazev rented an apartment on Lipki for a thousand hryvnia. The Law “On the Prevention of Corruption” prohibits judges from accepting gifts whose value exceeds one subsistence level for able-bodied persons (or 2,684 UAH).

A gift, including property that is transferred for paid use at a price below the minimum market price, is specified in the NAPC.

In violation of this prohibition, Vsevolod Knyazev received a gift in the form of renting an apartment in the Pechersky district (Lipki) of the city of Kyiv with an area of 133 square meters. m at a price significantly lower than the minimum market rental price. Based on a real estate lease agreement concluded at the end of 2017, the judge rented an apartment for living with a monthly payment of 1 thousand UAH, the report says.

It is noted that the NACP sent the protocol to Knyazev by mail and informed the Council of Judges of Ukraine about its preparation.
