General Staff: The Russian Army has intensified its offensive near Avdeevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting back

    The Russian occupation army intensified its offensive near several settlements in the Avdeevsky direction. The invaders also attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Bakhmutsky directions. Over the past 24 hours, 108 clashes occurred at the front.

    This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of October 11.

    In the zone of responsibility of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces “Tavria” in the Avdeevsky direction, the enemy, with forces of up to three battalions, with the support of tanks and armored vehicles, intensified offensive operations in the areas of Avdeevka, Tonenky, Keramik and Pervomaisky of the Donetsk region. Our defenders repelled all enemy attacks and prevented the loss of lines and positions,” the General Staff said.

    In the zone of responsibility of the OSUS “Khortitsa” in the Kupyansky direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 30 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Ivanovka, Kharkov region.

    In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the Makeevka and Dibrova areas of the Lugansk region.

    In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the Kleshchievka and Andreevka areas of the Donetsk region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and were successful in areas east of Klishchiyivka and east of Andreevka.

    In the Shakhtarsky direction, the Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Zolotaya Niva and Volodinoy, Donetsk region.

    In the Zaporozhye direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Inzhenernoye and Verbovoye, Zaporozhye region.

    The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, have improved the tactical situation in the area west of Robotinoye, Zaporozhye region, inflicting losses on the invaders in manpower and equipment, and depleting the enemy.

    Defense Forces aviation carried out 11 strikes on areas where personnel, weapons and military equipment are concentrated and nine on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
