According to intelligence reports, Vladimir Putin will almost certainly run for president again and could begin an unofficial election campaign as early as November this year.
There is little doubt that the main theme of Putin’s election campaign will be the thesis of Russia as a separate civilization that must defend itself from external enemies – a narrative often used to justify state actions and the consolidation of power in Putin’s hands, the summary says.

The previous mass mobilization in Russia took place in the fall of 2022, after the Russian army lost control over the occupied territories of the Kharkov region as a result of a rapid counter-offensive by Ukrainian troops.
After the start of mobilization in Russia, the Ukrainian military also dismissed Kherson and its neighboring areas on the right bank of the Dnieper.
