According to Ukrainian media from sources in these authorities, the searches are being carried out through a probable corruption scheme for the sale of the Avangard stadium.
In the summer, the Mukachevo City Council put up 3 hectares of communal land for auction. According to the investigation, the cost of the site was lowered several times and the company actually “won” was owned by the head of the Mukachevo district council, Mikhail Lanyo, better known as the crime boss “Blyuk”.
Journalist Vitaly Glagola, citing sources in NABU, also reported that the searches are being carried out through a probable corruption scheme for the sale of the Avangard stadium, the amount of damage could reach almost 100 million UAH.
Also, according to Glagoly, searches are being carried out at the head of the Mukachevo district council Lan, the honorary consul of Slovakia in Uzhgorod Adamchuk and his brother Igor, as well as the ex-deputy of the Transcarpathian regional council and the owner of the Uzhgorod hotel Baranyuk.
