Diplomats also managed to find five Ukrainian citizens who were considered missing in southern Israel. At the same time, information about the possible death of two Ukrainians near the Gaza Strip is being verified. Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko announced this on Facebook on October 9.
In total, over the past 24 hours, the operational headquarters of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry processed more than 200 requests from citizens. As there is a massive cancellation of flights to Israel, the ministry is looking for a solution to help Ukrainians leave the country.
Nikolenko added that the Foreign Ministry also received information about the possible death of a Ukrainian in the Gaza Strip. The department is awaiting official confirmation. Also, diplomats in Ramallah maintain constant contact with Ukrainian society and are working on potential evacuation routes.
Let us recall that on October 8, the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Nikolenko, reported that two Ukrainian women who had lived in the country for a long time were killed in Israel due to fighting and attacks by Hamas.
