Among the last targets affected were several command posts. A building housing Hamas militants and the group’s command center were also hit. In addition, several high-rise towers and a mosque with Hamas weapons, and three tunnels in the Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza were destroyed. This was reported by The Times of Israel.
The IDF’s chief spokesman said fighting continued in kibbutzim Be’er, Kfar Aza, Nirim and Alumim in southern Israel. They are clearing out militants there. Hamas spokesman Abu Ubaydah says fighting is now ongoing in several areas along Gaza’s northern border, including Zikim, Sufa and Mefalsim.
The Israeli Ministry of Health announced more than 700 dead and at least 2,315 wounded on the Israeli side. Arab media write about the death of more than 420 Palestinians and the injury of about 2 thousand 300 people.
Israel also denies negotiations with Hamas on the release of hostages through Egypt.
Let us recall that on October 8, the Israeli military-political cabinet voted to introduce clause 40 of Aleph, which means an official declaration of war. The last time it was used was in 1973, during the Yom Kippur War. The IDF was given complete freedom of action.
