CBS News says it’s currently unknown if this is “part of a long-term supply chain or a more limited release.”
North Korea has decided to provide artillery to Russia for the war against Ukraine. However, it is not known if North Korea is receiving other weapons. This was reported by the American media CBS News referring to an American official.
“It is not yet clear whether this transfer is part of a new long-term supply chain or a more limited supply. It is also unclear what North Korea is receiving in exchange for these weapons,” the material said.
The journalists noted that North Korea’s support for the Kremlin was “the culmination” of last month’s summit in Russia, when North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived by train to meet personally with the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
The media recalled that it was then assumed that Kim would ask Putin for money and food to support the North Korean economy, in exchange for his support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, weapons and space technology.
As we have already written, Kim Jong-un ordered to deepen relations with Russia.
It was previously reported that Kim Jong-un called the visit to Russia “strategic”.
