For all identified violations, disciplinary measures were taken, according to the Russian prosecutor’s office.
Among the Russian forces that invaded Ukraine were at least 600 conscripts. This was stated by the military prosecutor of the Western District of the Russian Federation Artur Egiyev, reports Interfax on Tuesday, June 7.

“According to data from the Western Military District, about 600 conscripts were involved in a special military operation, all of them were returned as soon as possible,” said Yegiyev, speaking at the Council of the Russian Federation.
He ensured that disciplinary measures were taken for all revealed violations, and that even decisions were made to remove “from military service officers who committed these violations.” We are talking about 12 officers.
As you know, after the attack in Ukraine, the Russian authorities claimed that the conscripts did not take part in the “special operation.” On March 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin also said so.
But the next day, March 9, the Russian Defense Ministry recognized the participation of conscripts in the war in Ukraine. At the same time, some of the conscripts were captured.
Later, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian conscripts refused to go home, and some of them were already listed as dead in the Russian Federation.
