Ukraine returned home the bodies of 64 fallen soldiers. The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced this on October 6.

Today, based on the results of repatriation activities, the Ukrainian side managed to return the bodies (remains) of 64 killed (deceased) defenders of Ukraine to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government,” the statement says.
The Ukrainian side, in accordance with the norms of International Humanitarian Law, handed over to the aggressor country the remains of the bodies of the dead Russian combatants.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure proper and safe transportation of the repatriated bodies (remains) of deceased defenders to certain state specialized institutions for their transfer in accordance with the established procedure to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic experts for the purpose of organizing and conducting procedural (investigative) actions and forensic examinations necessary to establish of the dead, the message says.
The Coordination Headquarters emphasized that Ukraine does not stop taking all possible legal measures to establish the whereabouts of missing and captured soldiers.
