On the night of October 6, Russian troops again attacked Ukrainian territory using Shahed-type attack UAVs. This was reported by the command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It was noted that the “raid” was carried out from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
“The launches of 33 Shaheds were recorded, traveling in several groups in the direction of the south, east and central regions. Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire group units and electronic warfare were involved in repelling the air attack,” the military stressed.
Air defense destroyed 25 Shahed-131/136 drones within Odessa, Nikolaev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
Earlier it was reported that the enemy aimed drones at the border and port infrastructure of the Izmail district of the Odessa region. As a result of the attack, a grain storage facility was damaged and nine trucks were occupied. The ferry crossing has been stopped.
