Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the European Political Community summit in Granada, Spain. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian head of state on Thursday, October 5.
So, Zelensky told Macron about the situation at the front and the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The issues of cooperation in the defense sector and expanding the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense system were discussed.
Issues of improving the security situation in the Black Sea region, protecting the Odessa region and port infrastructure were also raised.
“Thank you, Emmanuel, for confirming everything we agreed on. Now we can proceed with the implementation of these agreements,” Zelensky said after the negotiations.
Recently, France and Ukraine entered into cooperation agreements in the field of the military-industrial complex. Among them is the creation of powerful Aarok drones. Ukraine will receive a smaller and cheaper version of the drone.
