The ships are sailing to the main Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea despite the threats of the aggressor country Russia, which promised to open fire on ships heading to the ports of Ukraine. The first 10 ships have already used the new corridor built by Ukraine. Bloomberg reported this.
According to media reports, international insurance companies have begun to restore coverage of insurance risks. And the passage of these ships indicates that Ukraine’s “bold bet on creating its own trade route,” which was formed after Russia withdrew from the grain deal, has paid off.
The Safe Corridor Agreement stipulates that all ships traveling to Ukraine undergo inspection in Istanbul, Turkey, and the cargo of these ships must consist exclusively of agricultural goods.
Let us recall that on October 1 it was reported that three dry cargo ships left the ports of the Odessa region, and four bulk carriers were replacing them. The temporary sea corridor organized by the Ukrainian Defense Forces was used by the Chinese ship Ying Hao with a cargo of ore and bulk carriers with grain Azara and Eneida.
