In the Kyiv region, a father stabbed his own daughter and tried to kill his son. The tragedy occurred on May 2, reports the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Investigators learned that on the eve of the murder, in a phone conversation fueled by jealousy, the suspect had a fight with his wife who was abroad. To take revenge on him, he decided to kill the children – a 16-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son.

On the evening of May 2, while drunk, he went to the kitchen and turned on the gas burners. After that I woke up the children. Realizing the dangerous consequences of her father’s actions, the girl wants to turn off the stove. Therefore, there was a conflict between them, which ended in a fight.

The children tried to run away from their father, but they were unable to get out of the house because the suspect cut the inside door handle.

During the argument, the man hit his daughter in the face and chest with a kitchen knife. He died at the scene of the crime from a stab wound with damage to his heart.

At that time, fearing for his life, the man took his mobile phone and disappeared into the basement of the house, where he called the police. After committing the crime, the man tried to commit suicide and cut off his hand.

At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the accused will be kept in custody on the court’s verdict.

We remind you that not far from the Cheremosh River, law enforcement officers found the body of a girl on the night of June 18.

According to the investigation, that day the boy left home to visit his brother, and his father’s 34-year-old cousin followed him. On the way, the man suggested that the girl take a shortcut. When he was lured to the thicket, he raped and strangled the boy.

The man was arrested.
