Japan has no plans to withdraw from Russia’s joint oil and gas project, despite joining tough sanctions against the Russian Federation. This is what Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said, Japan Today wrote.

After Russia launched war with Ukraine, oil giant Shell said it would sell its 27.5% stake in Sakhalin-2 liquefied natural gas production and transportation projects in the Far East.
Mitsui controls 12.5% of the project and Mitsubishi owns 10% of the total share.
