    The NBU extends the period for the exchange of small denomination coins and old-style hryvnia banknotes, introduced into circulation before 2003, which are withdrawn from circulation and have ceased to be a means of payment.

    .

    Coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 25 kopecks and banknotes in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 UAH of samples up to 2003 of all years of issue can be exchanged until the end of martial law in Ukraine and for another three months (90 calendar days) after its termination or cancellation, the regulator said in a statement on September 29.

    In this way, all citizens, in particular those who were forced to leave their homes due to war or are in temporarily occupied territories, will have more time to exchange.

    Such coins and banknotes can be exchanged free of charge and without restrictions.

    In the following divisions of the National Bank:

    • Kyiv: Kontraktovaya Square, 2A;
    • Dnepr: st. Voskresenskaya, 13;
    • Lviv: st. Copernicus, 4;
    • Odessa: st. Rishelievskaya, 8;
    • Kharkov: Teatralnaya sq., 1;
    • Khmelnitsky: st. Vladimirskaya, 91;

    In a number of branches of authorized banks:

    • JSC “Oshchadbank”;
    • JSC CB “PrivatBank”;
    • JSC “Raiffeisen Bank”;
    • JSC “PUMB”

    Information on which branches and offices can carry out the exchange can be found on the official websites of these banks. Exchange is carried out for other coins and banknotes of all denominations in circulation in amounts that are multiples of 10 kopecks (for small change coins).

    From October 1, old-style coins and banknotes (until 2003) will no longer be accepted in Ukraine. They will be withdrawn from cash circulation in Ukraine after September 30.

    As reported in the press service of the National Bank, we are talking about coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 25 kopecks, as well as banknotes in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 hryvnias of samples issued before 2003.
