Three days after the explosions at ammunition depots on the border town, a new emergency occurred.
In the city of Belgorod of Russia, located near the border with Ukraine, there was a huge fire at an oil depot. This was announced on the morning of Friday, April 1, by the head of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“There was a fire at an oil depot in the city of Belgorod. All emergency services went to the scene. Steps are being taken to eliminate it,” he wrote.
Soon after, Gladkov clarified that two base employees were injured as a result of the emergency. Residents of three streets are being relocated.
The video of the fire was released online.
It will be recalled that on the night of March 29, an ammunition depot was set on fire in the suburbs of Belgorod. As a result, four Russian servicemen were injured.
According to Russian media, the cause of the fire and subsequent explosions was the “human factor”.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the warehouse incident arose as a result of a “typical use” of obsolete ammunition by Russian military personnel.
