F-16 fighters play a fairly serious role at the front. In particular, in order to break the defense of the invaders, it is necessary to plan an appropriate operation.
This was announced by the head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ilya Yevlash, in a telethon.
“Aviation by itself, without infantry, without tank units, does not play such an important role. Of course, all this must be in conjunction with the preliminary planning of coordinated actions by partners, our allies and neighbors directly involved in the left and right,” explained the military man.
According to him, a planned operation is ahead along with new types of weapons. The military should also use high-precision long-range weapons: HIMARS, Storm Shadow/SCALP EG missiles.
“In addition, the F-16 fighters should be considered as a comprehensive system that can often cause fire damage to all types of targets: air, land and sea. Therefore, we will wait for the delivery of the necessary aircraft to us and we will monitor the situation as the operational situation develops,” explained Yevlash.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ignat, explained that the F-16 fighters can give Ukraine an advantage in the air, and will also influence the course of events on the front.
