Lithuania donated sets of radar equipment to Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of the Baltic country announced this on Wednesday, September 27.

It is indicated that the equipment – radar installations – was sent in accordance with the requests of the Ukrainian Navy.

“For Ukraine, which is being destroyed by Russia’s war, this radar equipment will be of great importance both for the protection of its territorial waters and for ensuring the safety of its citizens,” said Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas .

The department did not disclose the cost and quantity of equipment moved.

It was noted that Lithuania has developed a long-term plan to support Ukraine for 2024-2026 with a total amount of 200 million euros.

“Lithuania actively trains Ukrainian soldiers, provides treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainians, prepares expert consultations, and allocates funds to international funds to support Ukraine,” they recalled in Vilnius.

Let’s remember that at the beginning of September, Lithuania sent 4.5 million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine. The total amount of its aid is more than 1 billion euros – more than 1.2% of the GDP of this country.
