The enemy is already building direct railway connections with Mariupol, Volnovakha and Donetsk. The occupiers have already begun to build a railway bridge near the village of Granitnoye across the Kalmius River. If successful, the enemy will be able to include the existing Mariupol-Aslanovo-Kalchik-Volnovakha branch into direct communication with the Russian cities of Taganrog and Rostov-on-Don. Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Pyotr Andryushchenko reported this on Telegram.
According to him, in practice this means not only resolving the issue of military and civilian logistics. Thus, Russians will reduce their dependence on the railway connection via the Crimean Bridge.
Andryushchenko added that the railway from Volonovakha goes west through Rozovka – Melitopol to Crimea and north towards Donetsk.
Let us recall that in temporarily occupied Mariupol, Donetsk region, Ukrainian partisans neutralized transformer installations in the area between the 23rd microdistrict and the village of Stary Krym, which supplied the Russian base with electricity.
