For weeks, business companies in the blocked city have not been able to deliver humanitarian aid.
Russia’s occupation forces carried out a genocide of civilians in Mariupol, businessman Rinat Akhmetov said in a comment to Bloomberg.
“It’s genocide. And the worst thing is that we can’t bring our aid to Mariupol and remove the people there – the Russian army is firing and not allowing our humanitarian convoys,” the businessman said.
Akhmetov has two businesses in Mariupol, employing 40,000 people. After the outbreak of war, factories were shut down, but workers continued to be paid wages.
Earlier, Akhmetov said his factories would never, under any circumstances, operate under Russian occupation.
The company was sure that businesses would be restored after the war.
Recall that Akhmetov’s companies organized a humanitarian convoy for Mariupol, but they could not deliver it, because Russian troops shelled the green corridor.
