The representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, named the peculiarities of the shelling of Ukraine and warned about the plans of the Russian occupation army to attack drones. That night, in addition to loitering ammunition of the Shahed type, the Russians attacked Ukraine with several types of missiles, in particular Iskander and X-59.

In addition to drones, Iskanders (cruise missiles) and X-59s are usually recorded, several of them, the consequences are being clarified there. This is something we talk about very often lately. This is an attack by UAVs of various types, attack UAVs. Also, reconnaissance units, which act as fire spotters and provide a complete picture of information to the enemy, are becoming more active and increasingly used,” Ignat pointed out during the telethon.
He recalled that at night 38 drones were immediately launched in both directions – Cape Chauda (Crimea) and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
These drones flew in different directions, but still each drone had a separate route, programmed by operators before launching this strike. This time, 26 “Shaheds” were destroyed,” he noted.
Ignat pointed out that this time fewer kamikaze drones were shot down, that they are “resistant to electronic warfare and, accordingly, are also a difficult target for air defense systems.”
Perhaps drones will be used by the enemy in even greater numbers. Therefore, it is necessary to look for rational means for their detection and destruction, Ignat stated.
Let us remind you that at night kamikaze drones attacked Odessa and Krivoy Rog in the Dnepropetrovsk region and the Cherkassy and Nikolaev regions. In total, the invaders launched 38 kamikaze drones across Ukraine at night, 26 of which were shot down. Due to the night attack by Russians on the Odessa region, the checkpoint with Romania is not yet operational and train traffic between Nikolaev and Kherson is limited.
