The Ukrainian Security Service exposed a UOC-MP priest in Kherson who was selling weapons and ammunition.

A priest of one of the local churches of the UOC-MP was exposed and informed of suspicion of acquiring, storing and selling firearms and ammunition without permission provided by law, the report says.
According to investigators, in September the suspect sold two Igla anti-aircraft missile systems designed to engage air targets, as well as three powder charges for a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. For this he received 3 thousand dollars.
Law enforcement officers also established the location of two more caches of weapons and ammunition. They were located in the basement of a multi-storey residential building and on a plot of land owned by a man. Among the items discovered were a machine gun, an AK-74 assault rifle, powder charges, grenades, cartridges with magazines of various calibers, and bayonet knives.
The suspect was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of more than 214 thousand UAH.
A priest of the UOC-MP was clandestinely selling weapons and ammunition remaining after the flight of Russian troops. One of the caches was located on the construction site of a new UOC-MP church in Kherson.
SBU officers detained him in the red – they gradually documented an attempt to sell two Igla man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems with components. In addition to these MANPADS, the priest offered to purchase ammunition for RPG-7 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. The seller in a cassock estimated the cost of such weapons at 115 thousand UAH.
The priest was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). He faces up to seven years in prison.
