“As of 12:00, 4,850 internally displaced persons entered the Republic of Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh,” the report said.
It is indicated that all citizens who do not have a predetermined place of residence are provided by the government with suitable housing.
A humanitarian center has been established in the village of Kornidzor near the Lachin corridor connecting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
It is known that the total population of Nagorno-Karabakh is just over 120 thousand people.
As reported, on September 19, Azerbaijan launched a new military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh to “restore constitutional order.”
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia does not intend to take military action with Azerbaijan.
On September 20, Karabakh announced a ceasefire and disarmament. The next day, negotiations began between representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities and residents of Armenian origin in Karabakh in the Azerbaijani city of Yevlakh.
