The UN Security Council on Monday, June 6, will hold a meeting dedicated to Ukraine. This is evidenced by the graph on the Security Council website.
The topic of the meeting was ensuring peace and security in Ukraine. The meeting is scheduled for 10:00 am ET (5:00 pm Kyiv time).
As pointed out by Ukrinform in connection with the secretariat of the Security Council, “the main focus will be on sexual violence associated with the conflict and human trafficking in the context of the war in Ukraine.”
Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN Serhiy Kislitsa will take part in the meeting.
The agenda included speeches by Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten, civil society representatives from Ukraine and the United States.
It is also expected that the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, will take part in the work of the Security Council.
Earlier, UN Secretary General António Guterres said the war in Ukraine had caused a three-dimensional crisis in the world: energy, finance and food.
