In Nagorno-Karabakh, an ammunition depot of so-called Russian peacekeepers came under missile attack. This was reported by the NEXTA Telegram channel on Saturday, September 23.
In the released video, uniformed men can be seen running after noticing the smoke. Barracks and Russian flags are visible. At the same time, one of the soldiers calmly continued to walk with his back to the explosion, because his hands were full. You can also hear the words in Russian: “everyone, our warehouse is in… Bali.”
Russian Telegram channels say that the event took place on September 19 or 20. “Military correspondents” also claim that the Azerbaijanis allegedly fired several times at the “peackeepers”.
Earlier, Azerbaijan confirmed the death of six Russian peacekeepers. The Russians’ vehicle was “mistaken for a vehicle belonging to the illegal armed forces of Armenia.”
Among the dead “peackeepers” was the deputy commander of the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation, Ivan Kovgan.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev apologized to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the death of the “peacekeepers” and also expressed his readiness to provide financial assistance to the families of the victims.
