Ukraine, five neighboring countries and other EU member states will meet next Thursday, September 28, in Brussels to resolve the grain issue. This was announced by the press secretary of the European Commission, Miriam Garcia Ferrer.
“Today we have finished our comments on the Ukrainian action plan, which was presented on Monday during the Coordination Platform meeting. The exchanges were very good and we see a very positive way forward. Today we extend an invitation to participate in the next that Coordination Platform meeting next Thursday. We will have the opportunity to finalize this action plan so that it goes live as soon as possible,” she said.
The representative of the European Commission recalled that the specified action plan to solve the issue of grain exports was developed by Ukraine and concerns:

establishing stricter controls on the export of products;

conducting an information campaign to explain the vulnerability of markets in neighboring countries;

generalization of information about end consumers of Ukrainian agricultural products.
The main element is the introduction of licensing for export transactions in agricultural products that were previously subject to protection measures from the EU, including wheat, maize, sunflower seeds and rapeseed.
