The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption found such assets from the official. The investigation found that during 2020-2022, he and his wife acquired a number of real estate properties. The military commissar explained that this property was purchased by him with personal funds. Allegedly, his family’s savings for the previous period, the salary of his family members and a gift from his mother in the amount of 42 thousand dollars were spent. The NAPC press service reported this on September 22.
However, the Agency analyzed the income and expenses of the military commissar’s family and found out that the head of the TCC did not have the opportunity to acquire property legally. And the difference between the cost of real estate and the official income of his family is more than 4.4 million UAH.
The lifestyle monitoring materials regarding the military commissar were transferred to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to resolve the issue of filing a claim in court to recognize the assets as unfounded and recover them for state income, the NAPC noted.
Let us remind you that in the Sambir TCC in the Lviv region, the deputy head of one of the departments of the military registration and enlistment office and a driver-soldier were detained, who illegally detained a man and starved him to force him to undergo a military medical commission. The DBI has already reported suspicion to two TCC employees; they face up to 10 years in prison for torture and imprisonment of two men.
