Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, tried to disrupt the speech of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which was supposed to take place first at today’s Security Council – immediately after UN Secretary General Gutteres.

He argued that all participants must speak first.
Nebenzya told the Albanian chairperson:
If he [Зеленський] hits me with a hammer, your chairmanship will be tarnished.
The current chairman answered the permanent representative of Russia that Zelensky’s speech was “not a special operation, but a continuation of a good tradition and practice,” since Zelensky spoke first last year.
And he added:
Let’s stop the war, and Mr. Zelensky will not speak out.
Hearing a lecture about breaking the rules from you is a startling endeavor. Stop the war, and Zelensky will not take his word. It’s your doing, why Zelensky takes the floor first,” said Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who chairs the Security Council.
