The Russians launched 17 missiles at Ukraine – all of them were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
On the night of September 18, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles and attack drones; the defenders shot down 18 drones and 17 missiles. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on its Telegram channel.
“On the night of September 18, 2023, the enemy attacked Ukraine with attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type and air-launched cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55. The Shaheds flew from in two directions: (Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation ) and Cape Chauda – THIS is Crimea). A total of 24 attack UAVs were recorded in the direction of Nikolaev and Odessa regions. 18 attack drones were destroyed by air defense on the route, ” the message said.
The invaders also launched cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Volgograd region.
Ukraine recorded the launch of 17 cruise missiles of the X-101/X-555/X-55 type. All 17 were destroyed by Air Force forces and means within the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava and Khmelnytsky regions.
As we have already written, the Russians used cruise missiles fired from Tu-95ms strategic bombers.
