The media, using clickbait headlines, are distributing fake information that supposedly from October 1, 2023, emergency power outage schedules will come into effect in Ukraine. However, this information is not true, the National Security and Defense Council Center for Countering Disinformation reported.
It is noted that the Ministry of Energy assured that currently the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Therefore, no shutdowns are planned.
The department also reported that power engineers took into account last year’s experience. Distribution system operators have developed and published in advance schedules of possible outages that can only be applied in the event of fire and damage to power equipment.
Let us recall that in August, some media and Telegram channels reported that Russia had already planned a terrorist attack on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and dictator Vladimir Putin personally approved it. It supposedly was supposed to happen at the end of August – beginning of September.
