The geodetic equipment will help ensure the safety of the seas around Ukraine and support commercial shipping in the face of continued Russian attacks.
Ukraine received geodetic equipment and cartographic software for maritime support from the UK Hydrographic Office. This was reported on the British government website.
According to the report, the State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine will receive equipment worth 1.6 million pounds sterling (over $2 million).
This will help ensure the safety of the seas around Ukraine and support commercial shipping in the face of continued Russian attacks.
The equipment, which includes two fully single-beam echo sounders and two multi-beam echo sounder systems, will be used to conduct hydrographic surveys, has already been mentioned. These surveys collect accurate data about the seabed and marine environment. The data can be processed and used to create and maintain nautical charts and navigation information for safer navigation in the area.
The tool will allow you to create navigational information and sea charts that contain safety information. Ships traveling through Ukrainian waters can use it to plan a safe route, especially through any humanitarian grain corridor.
Along with equipment and software, the State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine was offered training in special courses run by the UK Hydrographic Office and the Royal Navy.
The training will help you develop the necessary skills to effectively use donated equipment.
It was previously reported that British Royal Air Force aircraft began patrolling the Black Sea to prevent Russia from attacking ships carrying Ukrainian grain.
