This is her fourth visit to Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion, Deutsche Welle reports.
Ukraine also defends freedom and all of us with great courage and determination,” she emphasized upon arrival in Kyiv. “Just as Ukraine stands for us, it can also rely on us.”
Burbock also said that the EU is now preparing a decision on the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
The results of judicial reform (in Ukraine – ed.) and media legislation are already visible. The implementation of the anti-oligarchic law and the fight against corruption still remain, she noted.
Bärbock also noted that preparations for winter in Ukraine are in full swing, so Berlin wants to link the European energy network even more closely with the Ukrainian one.
Regardless of the time of year, we do not stop supporting Ukraine in its defense from Russian aggression: economically, militarily, humanitarianally,” she emphasized.
She also recalled the forced deportation of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation and the occupied territories of Ukraine.
We support organizations, Ukrainian authorities and non-governmental organizations that are working to bring abducted children home. And so that these crimes are solved. The indictment at the International Criminal Court is also an important contribution to this case, the head of the German Foreign Ministry emphasized.
The last time Burbock was in Ukraine was in January.
