Thousands of people remain missing in Libya due to floods caused by the storm Daniel. This was announced on September 11 by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the government in the east of the country, Esam Abu Zariba, Al Hadath reports.
“The flood brought thousands of people to sea. They are still considered missing,” the minister emphasized. According to him, more than two thousand people died due to the chronic nature.
Derna was hardest hit, where two dams were destroyed. Entire residential blocks were washed away.
The rain also caused serious damage to the infrastructure of other cities: many residential buildings, hospitals and other important civilian facilities were flooded.

Let’s remember that the east of Libya was engulfed by a storm, which brought strong winds and heavy downpours accompanied by lightning to the cities located on the Mediterranean coast.
