In Nigeria, at least 26 people have died and many more are missing after a ferry capsized in a reservoir, Reuters reports.

According to local authorities, the boat was carrying more than 100 people, including women and children. People drive to their farms through a large dam.

“26 people, mostly women and children, have been confirmed dead, more than 30 people have been rescued, and a joint rescue operation by the maritime police and local divers in collaboration with the Niger State Emergency Management Agency is ongoing, ” said the governor’s spokesman.

It will be remembered that in August in Nigeria, the roof of a mosque collapsed while hundreds of people were inside.

And in June, 103 people died when a boat carrying wedding guests capsized in Nigeria’s Kwara state.
