Police confirmed that two men, one in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were arrested under the Official Secrets Act in March.
Sources told the BBC that one of them was a parliamentary staffer who worked on international affairs. According to the Sunday Times, he had connections with several Conservative MPs and lived for some time in China.
Both men were taken to a south London police station and then released on bail until early October, police said in a statement.
Let’s remember that Russian spies monitored how Ukrainian fighters were trained in Germany.
