A humanitarian worker from Spain was killed in the attack. The rocket hit the car in which a Spanish woman was traveling, working for a humanitarian non-governmental organization in Ukraine. There is already verbal confirmation of her death. This was stated by Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez, Reuters reports.
Meanwhile, the organization Road2Relief (“Road of Help”) reported that on the morning of September 9, four members of its team came under fire when they went from Slavyansk to the village of Ivanovskoye in the direction of Bakhmut. They came under fire from the occupiers near Temporary Yar. As a result of a direct hit, the car overturned and caught fire.
The organization said Canadian volunteer Anthony “Tonko” Ignat died at the scene from his injuries. And volunteers from Germany and Sweden Ruben Mavic and Johan Mathias Thier received severe shrapnel wounds and burns. Their condition is stable and they are in the hospital.
Emma Igual, according to the organization, is considered missing.
Let us remind you that on June 14, Russian occupiers shelled Kherson with mortars, as a result of which two volunteers were injured, among whom was a foreigner. These people helped with the evacuation of the civilian population.
