Russian President Vladimir Putin considers Russia a weak state and therefore offended by the whole world, Bush Jr. said.
George W. Bush, who led the United States from 2001 to 2009, described how Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin insulted and mocked his beloved dog. Bush mentioned this story in a speech via video link at the Yalta European Strategy forum, which took place on September 8-9 in Kyiv, on Saturday, September 9, writes European Pravda.
“He saw my terrier and said: “Is this a dog?” Then in Moscow he offered to show his dog. I agreed, and he showed a big dog, saying that he could easily touch mine. I was surprised and said that this is an insult to me. Putin only asked: “Why?” Bush said.
According to the former US President, this story describes Putin’s character well.
“He always wanted to show his strength. At the same time, he considered Russia a weak state and therefore offended the whole world,” Bush said.
The former American leader said he saw Putin’s nature.
“He was infected with power and the desire for money,” Bush said.
Earlier, Bush said that Zelensky was so “brutal” that he might be from Texas.
Earlier, former US President George W. Bush called Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky “the Winston Churchill of our time.”
