Representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Nikolenko responded to the declaration of the Indian G20 summit released earlier today, September 9.

In a message published on his Facebook page, Nikolenko thanked those countries that included “strong language” regarding Ukraine in the text.
At the same time, the G20 has nothing to be proud of regarding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Obviously, the participation of the Ukrainian side would allow the participants to better understand the situation. The principle of “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine” remains as key as ever,” he emphasized.
He also “edited” the text of the G20 summit declaration, showing what the main elements of the text could look like in order to be closer to reality.
Therefore, according to Nikolenko, the text of the declaration should look like this:
- condemning the war against Ukraine, Russia must act in accordance with all proposals and principles of the UN Charter;
- in the war against Ukraine, Russia must abandon threats to use force to encroach on the territorial integrity and sovereignty or political independence of any country;
- in a war against Ukraine, threats or use of nuclear weapons by Russia are unacceptable;
- The G20 member countries unconditionally condemned Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and called on Moscow to immediately stop it.
At the G20 summit in India, they finally agreed on a joint declaration, despite disagreements on Ukraine
