According to him, the relevant bill “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Determination of the Procedure for Submitting Declarations of Persons Authorized to Perform the Functions of the State or Local Self-Government under Martial Law” (No. 9534) was supported by 329 parliamentarians.
Before that, the bill prepared for the second reading was amended to close the register of declarations for another year.
The biggest risk of the bill is the closedness of the register of declarations for another year. People’s deputies, obviously, are afraid to dare to show their fortune, acquired during a full-scale war. Most of the arguments for a closed registry are manipulation, the purpose of which is to delay as far as possible the moment when you have to account for vacations in Dubai and new estates in Pechersk, Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, the first deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on anti-corruption policy, said.
Subsequently, the deputies failed the amendment, which provided for the immediate opening of declarations of public figures. This provision was supported by only 199 parliamentarians out of 227 required.
Edit No. 371 on the opening of public declarations immediately: it did not pass – only 199 votes, – Zheleznyak noted.
He also made public the results of the factions’ voting on the issue:
-
Servant of the people – 117
-
European Solidarity – 22
-
Motherland – 5
-
Platform for Life and Peace 15
-
For the future – 8
-
Voice – 17
-
Trust – 7
-
Restoration of Ukraine – 1
-
Non-fractional – 7
Recall that in the memorandum with the IMF on the EFF extended financing program, the adoption of the law on the resumption of declarations is a structural beacon with a deadline of late July.
