Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) often try to infiltrate from the north. This was announced on Monday, September 4, by Andriy Demchenko, spokesman of the State Border Guard Service, to Espresso.
According to him, Russian saboteurs were caught, as a rule, in the regions of Sumy and Chernihiv.
“The Russian Federation is trying to use sabotage and reconnaissance groups on the border of Ukraine. Recently, we have seen a lot of activity in the direction of Sumy. Sometimes there are such attempts in the Chernihiv region. Recently, we have not recorded attempts to use the DRG in the Kharkiv region,” he said.
Demchenko noted that Ukrainian defenders opened fire on Russian saboteurs after they crossed the Ukrainian state border.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three enemy boats in the Dnieper Delta.
It will be remembered that the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Sergei Naev, said that two Russian DRGs were prevented from entering the Chernihiv region.
