It happened on the night of September 4 during a massive Russian attack in the Izmail port area in the Odessa region. This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko with reference to the information of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to him, the last attack was another confirmation that Russian missile terror poses a huge threat not only to the security of Ukraine, but also to the security of neighboring countries, including NATO member states.
The agency urged partners to speed up the provision of Ukraine with additional modern anti-missile and air defense systems, as well as combat aircraft, which will enhance the protection of Ukrainian infrastructure, as well as neighboring states.
Meanwhile, the Romanian Ministry of Defense said that the attack by Russian drones in the Odessa region “did not pose any direct military threat” to the country.
Recall that the Russian invaders on the night of September 4 launched Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs from the south and southeast direction (Cape Chauda, Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia). In total, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk regions were attacked by 32 Shaheeds. Air defense destroyed 23 enemy drones.
