The Polish edition of Wprost came out with a cover depicting Pope Francis in a popemobile, located on the chassis of a tank of Russian invaders.
The cover of the issue was also published on the weekly’s website. In the photo, you can see that Francis is driving through the shelled city in the “popemobile” – a specially designed car for the pontiff’s public trips. The tank depicts one of the symbols of the Russian invasion – the letter “Z”.

It will be remembered that on August 25, Francis addressed the participants of the All-Russian meeting of Catholic youth with a speech. He called them “heirs of a great nation” and urged them not to forget about it.

The Kremlin then called Pope Francis’ statement “very comforting”, and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called it ordinary imperialist propaganda, in which the Kremlin justifies the murders of thousands of Ukrainians and Ukrainian women and the destruction of hundreds of cities and villages of Ukraine.
