We are talking about a private company with which the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed an agreement three weeks after the start of a full Russian invasion – on March 14, 2022 – to provide for the garrison of Kyiv.
The company repeatedly violated the terms of the contract, and in December 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against the company to recover an advance payment and a penalty for a total of UAH 456.660 million (430 million – the value of the contract, 26.660 million – fine).
In February 2023, by decision of the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv, the Office of the Prosecutor General was involved in the case, and in May, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the prosecutor’s office, decided to file a claim for recognition as invalid from the moment the additional agreement to the above agreement was concluded.
Yesterday, September 1, the supplementary agreement was declared invalid.
It is reported that on September 6, the Ministry of Defense’s claim against the company under the main contract will be considered.
Recall that the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov said that he would resign if the accusations of buying summer jackets instead of winter ones were confirmed. He also suggested that the journalist and the elected people resign from their posts if their accusations are not confirmed.
