The head of the city administration of Krivoy Rog, Alexander Vilkul, said that on the morning of September 2, an air defense system was operating in the city. Earlier it was reported about explosions in Krivoy Rog.

Shortly after the explosions were heard in the city, an air raid alert was issued.
Worked out air defense. Successfully. The target was hit, Vilkul said in his telegram channel.
Some Russian pro-military telegram channels claimed that Kryvyi Rih had been hit by cruise missiles, as a result of which, allegedly, warehouses with weapons “for the Zaporozhye group” were hit.
At 11.51 an air raid alert was announced in the region. The air defense probably shot down a Russian reconnaissance drone “Merlin” over the city.
