So, on September 1, two more blocked ships left the port of Yuzhny in the Odessa region. Bulk carriers Anna-Theresa (under the flag of Liberia) and OctanCourtesy (under the flag of the Marshall Islands) are now moving along the established corridor towards the Bosphorus. The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
The ships transport 56 thousand tons of pig iron and 172 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate. Both bulk carriers are operated by a Singaporean shipping company. They were in the Yuzhny port until the Russian invasion of Anna-Theresa from February 22, 2022, and OctanCourtesy from February 16 of the same year.
Recall that on August 16, the first ship, the container ship Joseph Schulte, departed from the port of Odessa. Already on August 18, it arrived at the port of Istanbul in the Sea of Marmara, and then headed for Hong Kong.
The second ship, the dry cargo ship Primus, left the port of Odessa on August 26 after the grain deal was stopped. The ship sailed under the flag of Liberia to the port of Varna.
