In the waters of the Black Sea, a Russian Su-27 aircraft attacked a Ukrainian boat with fighters from the Artan special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. As a result of the maneuvering of the boat, the fighter with the call sign “Conan” ended up overboard on the high seas. Journalist Yury Butusov reported this on August 31 in Telegram.
The scout boat was forced to retreat because it was under heavy enemy fire. However, the Ukrainian military did not intend to leave the twin to the mercy of fate. Almost immediately, Bayraktar TB2 flew out in search of a fighter.
Subsequently, a group of several boats went on a rescue operation and operated under fire from Russian fighters. In the end, the scout was saved. He spent more than 12 hours on the high seas, but survived. In Artan, they said that Conan is now a legend not only of the unit, but of all special forces.
An incredible story of salvation, which in deed, and not in words, shows what it means to not abandon our own, – writes Butusov.
Recall that after the Russians undermined the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and flooded part of the Kherson region, a video appeared on social networks showing how the military of the 406th brigade transferred water to a woman with children with a copter. Civilians fled the water on the roof of a flooded house near Oleshki. Over time, the family managed to evacuate.
