In the Kurgan region of the Russian Federation, a man doused two students with gasoline and set them on fire. One of the victims died in hospital, Russian media reported on August 31.
According to REN TV, the incident took place last night in the village of Verkhneglubokoe. The arsonist is a 22-year-old unemployed man.
Telegram channel Shot wrote that the attacker came with a canister to the local House of Culture and poured gasoline, and then set fire to a seventh-grader and a ninth-grader who were walking nearby.
One teenager has burns on 10% of his body, the second has 98%. Both ended up in the intensive care unit of the Kurgan Regional Hospital.
The motive for the attack is being investigated.
Later, RIA Novosti reported that one of the injured students died.
Earlier it was reported that in Primorsky Territory, a man set fire to a neighbor with a homemade flamethrower.
