The first phase of training for the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking place outside the country, will take about three weeks.
The Ukrainian military has started a training course on how to work with the M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, which will be received by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the United States. This was announced on Twitter on June 2 by ABC journalist Matt Seiler, citing a senior Pentagon official.
According to him, American instructors work with Ukrainians “in an unknown place outside the country.”
The first phase of training is expected to last approximately three weeks.
“According to a senior official of the Department of Defense, Ukrainian forces have started training with HIMARS sent from the US,” he wrote.
It was previously reported that the American MLRS HIMARS, intended for Ukraine, is already in Europe.
