The new schedule, which provides for the work of cafes and restaurants, will work until 23.00 from September 1. Representatives of the National Restaurant Association of Ukraine addressed the city authorities with a corresponding request. Institutions about the current work of such institutions were taken when the curfew began at 23.00. Now it starts at midnight. The Kyiv Defense Council decided on a new schedule. The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on Telegram.
According to the mayor, during a meeting with the city authorities, entrepreneurs justified the expediency of such a decision and stressed that extending the opening hours of establishments will help improve the economic situation in the capital, create additional jobs and increase revenue from taxes, fees and payments to the budgets of all levels.
As you know, now the curfew in Kyiv lasts from 00:00 to 5:00. During it, it is forbidden: to be on the street and in public places and to travel by transport without a special permit or on foot. It is allowed to leave the house only to the nearest shelter in case of air raid alert.
Recall that in June the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, forced the director of the department for the protection of cultural heritage of the Kyiv City State Administration, Alexander Nikoryak, to write a letter of resignation. Then the official was noticed at the exit of the restaurant during a deep curfew.
