This was reported today, August 29, on the Facebook page of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As a result, according to intelligence, it was determined that in the near future the Russian disinformation system will focus on using the following topics and narratives:
1) “Mass mobilization”:
- it seems that all Ukrainians, without exception, are subject to mobilization, regardless of gender, age, state of health;
- like would mobilization will concern minors.
2) “Despondency of Ukrainian partners in the possibility of victory”:
- imaginary “agreements” about “peace in exchange for territories”;
- fake political agreements – in particular, the fabrication of materials about the alleged “secret agreement” of the Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko with representatives of the US Republican Party to support him in the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine.
3) “Ukrainian counter-offensive is not successful”:
- the narrative about the increase in the number of graves of Ukrainian soldiers on the example of cemeteries in large cities;
- seemingly lack of success at the front with heavy losses, replication of the theme of the death of local Defenders in every region of Ukraine;
- the search for those responsible for imaginary “failures” in order to discredit Ukrainian military leaders and officials.
4) “Total corruption”:
- it seems that the state is not fighting corruption – “the budget is stolen, purchases are not made”;
- there seems to be no punishment for corrupt officials.
5) “Beautiful” life in the occupied territories:
- seemingly high salaries, low prices, provision with everything necessary;
- “development” of infrastructure, restoration of destroyed housing;
- “free” elections on a “single voting day” under the laws of the Russian Federation;
- Ukraine renounces the occupied territories with a demonstration of fabricated documents;
- the Ukrainian government seems to be “surrendering” Kupyansk.
In order not to succumb to hostile propaganda, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine strongly urges to observe information hygiene and trust only official sources of information! – noted in the GUR.
